Browser-only tax file processing
The converter reads the file you select or text you paste and generates CSV locally in your browser. It does not upload your FIRE file, generated CSV, filename, TINs, names, addresses, or tax amounts to FireToCSV.com or BoomTax. Clear the converter or close the page to remove its active file selection and result.
Normal website requests
The site and its content-delivery providers may receive ordinary request information such as your IP address, browser type, requested asset, referring page, and request time. These requests load the page, fonts, styles, and converter software. They do not include your selected tax file.
Website analytics
FireToCSV.com uses Google Analytics to understand page visits, referrals, device and browser types, and interactions with the website. It also records conversion results, never the file contents: whether a conversion finished or stopped, the tax year and form types, record and error counts, and how long it took. Analytics does not receive the FIRE file or generated CSV, filename, TINs, names, addresses, or tax amounts processed by the converter.
Optional support messages
Help Scout loads when you choose Contact support. If you send a message, Help Scout and BoomTax receive the contact details and message you provide, plus ordinary device and session information such as your IP address, browser, page address, and the converter site you are visiting.
The support tool does not automatically receive your selected FIRE file, generated CSV, filename, or taxpayer data such as recipient names, TINs, addresses, and amounts. File attachments are disabled. Do not paste tax records into a support message; use BoomTax's upload workflow when you need help with a file.
Links and local downloads
Following a link to BoomTax, FireToIris.com, or the IRS does not transfer your selected file. Select or upload your file separately on that service if needed. That service's privacy policy applies to your activity there. Downloaded CSV files remain on your device and should be handled with the same care as the original tax file.
