Make fixed-width tax records easier to review
FireToCSV.com helps organizations convert IRS Publication 1220 FIRE files into CSV drafts for the IRIS Taxpayer Portal template workflow. Conversion runs locally, separates form types, checks file structure and control totals, and identifies fields that need additional review.
The free converter is provided by HamSys, Inc., the company behind BoomTax. It is an independent tool and is not an IRS website. A generated CSV is a review draft, not an IRS filing or a guarantee of acceptance.
CSV and XML serve different workflows
CSV supports the IRIS Taxpayer Portal upload workflow. XML is used by IRIS Application to Application software. The related FireToIris.com XML converter provides an XML preview for its stated tax year. Each tool states its own supported year and review requirements.
